Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Spendify (the “Service”). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

Spendify helps you capture receipts, extract key details, and export structured transactions (including export to YNAB when configured). The Service may change over time as we improve features and reliability.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction) to use the Service.

3. Accounts and security

  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
  • You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account.
  • Notify us immediately of unauthorized access: support@spendifyapp.com.

4. Your content

You retain ownership of the receipts and data you upload (“User Content”). You grant Spendify a limited license to store, process, and display your User Content solely to operate the Service.

You confirm you have the right to upload and process any content you provide and that it does not violate applicable laws.

5. Third-party services (Stripe, YNAB)

  • Payments: subscriptions are processed by Stripe. Your use of Stripe may be subject to Stripe’s terms.
  • YNAB export: when enabled, Spendify sends transaction data to YNAB using the access you authorise through YNAB’s OAuth sign-in. Your use of YNAB is governed by YNAB’s terms.

6. Subscriptions, trials, and billing

  • Some features may require a paid subscription.
  • If a free trial is offered, trial conditions will be shown during signup/checkout.
  • Fees are billed in advance (unless stated otherwise) and are non-refundable except where required by law.
  • You can manage billing via the billing portal available in the app.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for unlawful, harmful, or fraudulent activity.
  • Attempt to bypass security controls, rate limits, or access other users’ data.
  • Upload malware or content intended to disrupt the Service.
  • Reverse engineer or abuse the Service beyond normal personal/business use.

8. Availability and support

We aim to keep the Service available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted operation. Support is provided on a reasonable-effort basis via support@spendifyapp.com.

9. Disclaimer

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. We disclaim all warranties to the maximum extent permitted by law, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Spendify will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid to Spendify in the 3 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or if we must do so to protect the Service or comply with law.

12. Changes to the Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Updated Terms will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date.
